Any good pump-up sprayers?

I have a collection of sprayers. Not because I am fond of them, but because I keep trying to find a good one. All wusses!! Does anyone here have one they can recommend?

The one that I am currently using has lasted much longer than the usual one year/toss it out sprayers. It is a Farm and Home, Survivor/30, by SP Systems. I have the two gallon size which is almost too heavy for me to carry. I got a couple from a friend who bought a bunch at wholesale price. I didn't realize these things are so expensive. I'm thinking about using the clean one to water plants.

Does it has good pressure? I am aways frustrated by the wimpy spray.

I learned my lesson with those bigger spray containers. I stick to the one gallons now. I find I rarely need any more than that anyway.

I think the pressure is fine. The spray is adjustable more than the ones that I have bought at Lowes in the past. I would buy the 1 gallon but my husband likes the big ones. I usually just fill it half full.

Hi Ceejay,
Have you tried this one? It works great!

I don't think the one I have will spray that high. I use mine for fire ants & spraying the shop building for roaches.

I 've been thinking about a trombone sprayer. I went to a talk about compost tea and the guy suggested using one. He also said it should have pressure less than 50 psi so as not to kill the beneficial organisms.(When did gardening become so complicated?) Do you know if that would work?

I just use a cheap hose end sprayer for spraying compost tea, etc. Would the trombone sprayer do a better job?

I use a siphon that dilutes at a rate of 16:1. It's much easier than trying to use a quart-size hose end sprayer. I'll be back with a link...............

Very interesting!Have you been using this for a while? It looks easy.

The problem I see with it, is that it can only be used for fertilizers. I need something to apply other chemicals. I don't do it often, but sometimes it becomes necessary!

I think the only reason you wouldn't want to use it for chemicals, is because you have to put it through your garden hose. I would buy another hose and siphon to put other stuff through. I wouldn't want to put poison on my vegetables! When I use mine, I usually use fish emulsion, Miracle Grow, Superthrive, or a combination. The fish emulsion goes through easily, whereas the hose end sprayer clogs (Dial-a-spray).

Hope that makes sense.
