I purchased a few lovely Koi to add to my "pond" several years ago. Bright colors! They were so pretty. Not thinking, I also purchased a beautiful one that was black and gold. My mistake, I thought, because after adding it to the pond it was "invisible" against the black background. Everyone got a real kick out of that one. However, I guess that fish got the last laugh. Since he could not be seen easily, he outlasted every other fish, escaping the paws of the cats and raccoons here!!

Hi Deb-I read both of your posts (mosquitos and this one). How big is your pond? I don't have mosquitos and worried why you did I didn't. Is your water moving (mine moves). Post some pictures-it's always nice to see ponds-big and small!

Mine is small. We will be building a larger one when we move. Right now our water is not moving ( we used to do that) but my water lilies are growing and blooming better than they ever have! It really could be the non-moving water. LOL...I have even put a couple of fish in the big bucket that we keep outside for our cats and dogs to drink out of when they are there!!! Keeps the mosquitoes out of there too!!!!!
