Ugh! My h. monetteae fell inexplicably ("not me", said my two grandsons as they ran out of the room). In the process, 3 huge leaves fell off....Ugh! And I really love these leaves.......oh well, "not me" lived at my house when my kids were growing up - I guess he never moved out!

Tragedy strikes
Karen, I was in Hawaii earlier this week and helped a certain vendor carry some boxes out to the Fedex truck. I noticed a few familiar names on the boxes (hope you are also enjoying your Hoyas, Cindy and Patricia!).
I had wondered what was inside.
Monnetteae is becoming one of my favorites- I saw one in full bloom at another garden this week- huge clusters of pure white flowers. Very fragrant, but not at all like carnosa, which is what I had expected. I really like the leaves on this one.
Karen...what a pain!!! 'Not me' lived here for a while...really annoying, aren't they!!! That loss will just make the news ones even bigger!!!!
Carol
I'm definately enjoying my plants, archi, and verticillata. Thanks to you know who.
Cindy
Hey, 'Notme' is my firstborn son...how'd he get to IL when his car is disabled? (Ü)
Sorry to hear about your plant....maybe the mishap will give birth to a growth spurt?
Will be a good experiment to see if those leaves will ever sprout vines, as well?!
A question....I haven't been on this forum for awhile..but last I heard, that vendor was sort of 'semi-retiring' and wasn't vending hoyas anymore......is she?
Hi Nan,
"That vendor" is semi-retired in that she doesn't sell as many of the hoyas that she used to sell. But if you look on her website, you'll see that she's still up and running...thank goodness!!!
