Peach Cake
Ingredients for the filling :
- 2 lbs peaches peeled, cut in half and cored (or apples, plums)
- ¼ lbs butter
- ¼ lbs sugar
Take a 3 quarts round pan and cream butter with sugar in it until fluffy .Spread it all over the pan, then put the peach halfs with the emptied core up. Fill the core with a cherry jam or with sugar. Bake apples in a preheated oven, at 425 degrees F, while you make the layer.
For the layer :
- 4 eggs
- 4 tablespoons of flour
- 4 tablespoons of sugar
Mix the yolks with sugar and stir well, then add flour. Add the whites, well whipped . Pour the batter over the peaches and bake at 350 degrees F for 15 to 20 minutes, until it gets a little brown on top.
