GREAT ebay seller

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

We do enough 'editing' about ebay sellers on this forum, and I want to tell you about a really GOOD one! He goes by FatPlant and lives in Florida. He doesn't seem to be commercial at all, just a guy growing plants and his plants are beautiful!!! I have plants from him: he is keen on correct names and his plants are always really really well grown and healthy!!! He's the one who offered the variegated H. obovata. Wanted to pass on some really positive word about him!!!!

Mountlake Terrace, WA(Zone 8a)

Most excellent. And I thought this post was going to be about you. :-)

His plants are the BEST I have ever seen!

I am e-bay challenged. How do I find his page?

Macon, IL(Zone 5b)

I bought an h. caudata from him that is gorgeous!

....don't know if he has anything up now...but just go to ebay and search him as a vendor...wait...there is more to his name than FatPlant...I will try to find it.

Shepherdstown, WV

Fatplant2020

I have a beautiful serpens and retusa purchased from him last year!

Whitestone, NY(Zone 7a)

I also bought H. caudata from him, and not only is it GORGEOUS, but it is healthy and has grown so much since I got it. I highly recommend him.

Thank you all very much from Fatplant2020. I am very happy to hear the comments and I will continue to have auctions on ebay under Fatplant2020. I do sell other plants than just Hoyas, you will have to look to check them out. Any requests, please ask. Thank you again for the positive comments and I will keep them coming.

Ogden, UT

I just won some auctions from fatplant2020. They should be here any day! I am SO excited.

Minneapolis, MN(Zone 5a)

Oh, man, I did not need to see this thread! Well, I just bid on a couple of plants from fatplant2020. The plants look great. Hopefully, more plants will be put up for auction before it gets too cold to have them shipped here! (:o)

Good to know...great selection and nice-looking plants!

I can't believe what the aff. picta is going for...I'm going to have to root some of mine! (Ü)

Colts Neck, NJ(Zone 7a)

Fatplants hoyas always arrive at my house in perfect condition, and they start putting out new growth immediately, without the usual sulking period. He generously included some cuttings in my last shipment and these rooted in only six days, a record for me.

Welcome to DG, Fatplant

Such a fine collection of plants that FatPlants2020 has. gotta love the Dorstenia, and the Ant Plants. But the list of Hoyas was outrageous.

North Central, ID(Zone 6a)

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I cannot find his listings ?!? Help?????

Paula

(Zone 1)

I'm like Paula ... I am not e-bay savvy and couldn't find the vendor either.

Mountlake Terrace, WA(Zone 8a)

In order to find his listings, you need to go to ebay, and click a link to take you to "advanced search".

Then go most of the way to the bottom of the page where you will see "Seller" click the box that says"Only show items from:".

Then choose "Specific sellers (enter seller's user IDs)" make sure the pull down box says "include" and fill in "fatplant2020" in the empty box to the right.

Go to the bottom of the page and click "Search".

Don't sweat not figuring this out. It took me awhile to figure out, and I have been trying to find his stuff since the beginning of the thread.

Thanks AnalogDog!

No problem.

who just jumped into the water of career #2 today, by registering at my local community college to learn database skills. Its been 12 years since I took a class, but 21 years since I registered as a student. This is gonna be weird.

SW, WI(Zone 4b)

I just googled ebay fatplant2020 and his listings came up.(Ü)

Huntsville, AL(Zone 7a)

LOL! Good luck with your studies, Rob. Being an "adult" in the student realm will make you young again... at least it did me. Now I'm an old codger once more. ;)

He may have ended all his sales for this week.

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

He has a bunch of new ones up....one is a variegated DS-70...very nice!

OH...another good vendor - new on the block - is srq????? mostly her photos are taken beside a pool...

(Zone 1)

Thanks to Analog's directions I found the site ... oh, that variegated ds-70 is really nice!

Ok, now I'm going to see if I can find the seller srq. to look some more. One of these days I might get brave enough and have patience to bid on e-bay again. I tried once for something a few years ago and was really excited, right down to the last seconds I thought I had won and then someone outbid me. It was a big disappointment! I prefer the buy me now feature.

SW, WI(Zone 4b)

oooh...I hate snipers!
I just bid what I think is the most I'm willing to pay...if I get outbid, so be it....I'm not into the sniping game.
Usually whatever it is you're outbid on comes up again, eventually. (Ü)

Lin...try adding it to your 'favorite searches' and then choose to get an email notification when items from your favorite searches are newly listed.

(Zone 1)

Oh Nan, thank you for that tip. I am e-bay challenged, didn't even notice there was something for favorite searches or that they would send an e-mail when an item came up if you had flagged it. I think my DH is happy I don't know a lot about e-bay, LOL! Whenever he happens to be with me at Home Depot or Lowes, he knows to find me in the garden center and always laughs when he meets up with me and I have a plant or two or three in tow ... he always says he doesn't know where I will find room for another plant, but I always find some place to put more!

Mountlake Terrace, WA(Zone 8a)

That's kind of like me, although I have to be more discerning. The windowsills are full.

There are computer based sniping tools out there. You may not have been beat by a person, but a computer programmed to beat you.

I used to use a program several years ago, and it seems necessary today. I recommend JBidwatcher available here: http://www.jbidwatcher.com/ .

It is easy to run and quite good at its job. Best of all, it is free, and not priced per bid.

Rob

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 4a)

Wow! Fatplant2020 does have some amazing plants especially the DS-70 but of course living on the otherside of the fence I can't bid.

:( Donna
