Taking brug cuttings

A friend of mine at church would like some brug cuttings when I get ready to cut them back for winter... My question is .... is the whole plant okay to get cuttings from or just about the Y?

you can cut the whole plant if you want , the cuttings above the y will bloom first. you might want to do a couple of long cuttings to keep as trees next year.

Thank you.... The plant I have is an old one that I keep about 2 feet of mulch over the top of next to the house..... and so far it just keeps on coming back... but I always like to keep a cutting or two just in case...

But this year, so many folks want a cutting, so I am gonna be sharing...
