Hi, I just became a new member and am excited about this way of sharing info. With the way the economy is going I have began to preserve lots of stuff from my garden. For years now, I have canned tomatoes but now am into preserving in different ways other than canning. I would welcome any advice or favorite ways of preserving stuff. So far I have frozen batches of green beans, corn, and many varieties of peppers. This year I also made raspberry vinegar for salads. I grow all my own stuff too. I am just happy now to be a member. Thanks!
Hi! I hail from Crystal, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis
Hi Sandra,
Welcome to Dave's Garden!
Welcome aboard. I grew up in N. MN. and now have a couple of client hospitals in St. Paul, but don't miss shoveling snow.
Welcome Sandra, you will find DG a wealth of info.
My dad was from Brainerd. I've only driven through Minn. once. Beautiful.

Thank you all for the wonderful welcome. I am having so much fun here. I have been a bit of a show off tho (: I have been attaching a lot of photos I have been taking of my yard and granddaughter Amiya. And, here is another opportunity for another pic of my yard. LOL It is kind of a jungle out here because I have to run around after my granddaughter all the time. So I just let it go this year.
Lookin' good to me.
That would make a bunch of slaw - lol. And the egg plants are big, too.
Welcome Sandra....I think that is the biggest cabbage I have ever seen. : )
Happy Gardening,
Shirley
Amazing what you find under cabbage leaves!!! Too cute.
a belated welcome from upstate new york.
Thanks Herbie. How's upstate New York today?
well, it's 6:20 a.m. and we are geting ready to leave for our family vacation in ocean city maryland. the weather here called for rain and wind after mindnight last night but so far things look quite calm.
my wife would love to visit that mall of yours. LOL just how big is it.
LOL. It is big. But outside of young mom's, teenagers, etc we have so many malls that for me, it isn't that spectacular. I think since it was built I may have gone out there a hand full of times. In my opinion, the majority of people are people not from here. I had heard years ago that especially people from Japan made MOA their primary destination. So, to me it is not a big deal. Happy Vacationing! Oh, I used to be married to a man from Florham Park, NJ. In fact is father's wife is still the mayor there. So I have had the chance to visit the East Coast and I think it is beautiful. Not the same of alot of midwesterner's opinion especially of NJ. I always thought they grew sidewalks. LOL
A very belated welcome from Japan, enjoy!
