Hardy water lily for postage
I would love one! Check your Dmail...
Thanks!
Mary
I got one from Mittsy earlier this season. Let me tell you this gal's work in packing and shipping is phenomenal. My mme. Wilfron Gonnere is thriving.
I'm going to be composting two tropical water lilies in late September - early October because I have no way to keep them over the winter. They are Panama Pacific and Director T Moore ( both purple). Does anyone know if these can be divided and shipped in October? I have no idea how to handle a tropical water lily. I'd rather ship them to someone in a warmer zone that can use them than just toss them in the compost bin.
Snapple25, check with adavisus, he has a lot of lilies.

More lilies still available.
Snapple, tropical lilies are actually very easy to keep over the winter. I hate to leave an inoccent plant to die so last year I dug up the tropical lily bulbs and tossed them into an unheated ten gallon aquarium with the intention of putting in a heater and a light. Never got around to either one so the poor little bulbs just kind of laid there all winter in the water. This spring I planted the survivors (some small snails had apparently overwintered in there too and made snacks out of a few of the bulbs) and they did extremely well. I would imagine any container of water would do so long as the water was kept warm.
Thanks, tetleytuna. I'm going to ship them south to a DG'r but I might try a little offset and see what happens. Was there a pump/filter running on the aquarium? Do you think I could just change the water out from time to time instead of running a pump or filter? My space for an extra aquarium is extremely limited so a 10 gal would be about all I could squeeze in.
