Since I have to keep up with the Virgnia creeper on our wall (trimming them, training them, not allowing them to touch the bricks etc. etc.), I had so much cuttings. Somebody had stuffed them on the ground and some have rooted. I saw that we had an old bonsai pot just laying around so I decided to try making a bonsai specimen out of the rooted creeper...
at 1 week old (1 week old from the time I transplanted the cutting). At the beginning, it looked kinda sad but virginia creepers are very hard and this sprung back to life...
Very low maintenance and easy I would say. I also google-ed virginia creeper bonsai and some had done this practice too =)

there are some lovely photos on the web of these as bonsai. The autumn color can be fantastic.

yes I love the colours at fall! I love how they drape down too, like long hair! They just need alot of maintenance.
