Question about unusual stray cat, Domestic/Wild hybrid?

hi guys,
i live in East Texas, with my folks on 10 acres out in the country. about a week ago, a stray cat showed up at the hay barn. i have 2 cats of my own, but they dont like this one. i was suprised that it is actually friendly, loves to be petted, doesnt like to be picked up. anyway, it is a grey striped female. what is weird about this cat is that it has a big head, a HUGE, muscular neck, long tail and doesnt meow. it makes a weird squeaking sound. i have a large male and his neck is maybe half the size of hers! got me wondering if she may be some wild cat/domestic hybrid. i know that it has become popular in this area. i will try to get a pic of her. i thought maybe some of you would know more. thanks
