Thanks Chris! If I want to raise it, does it eat ONLY passiflora or can I feed it fennel, etc? (he's destroying my vine!)

Gulf Frits only eat passiflora.
Oh boy, I hope I have enough food for them then!
They dont eat as much as monarchs do. I dont know how many you have but in a pinch I have asked the local nursery if they could cut me a piece of vine from one of there plants and they usually just look at me like im crazy but they end up saying yes.
That caterpillar has turned to a J position! I am SO excited, doesn't that mean it's going to start its metamorphosis soon? !
Yes! It will usually stay in the J 12-24 hours, then will become chrysallis.

Thanks! I got to watch a Monarch make its chrysalis as my birthday present! Frits are cool, too. Right now I have a little colony of Zebra Longwings I'm taking care of, but they're still a few days away from being big enough to make a chrysalis.
