For those of you that like Christmas cacti

Mountlake Terrace, WA(Zone 8a)

A couple of weeks ago I saw a Craigslist post saying there would be some big Christmas cacti and other plants there. So I went early one Saturday and found some phenomenal plants for dirt cheap.

Well, the same plants are still being sold by them, and apparently the biggest, a 35 year old plant is still available.

I bought one from the sale, and I wanted to show you what I got for $20. The Craigslist post is here: http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/grd/818585005.html . The location is near Perrinville.

Now the 35 year old plant makes mine look small. My previously biggest plants are dwarfed by the one I got.

Hey Rob, This is mine, was a present from a friend, tiny thing then.
She blooms 3 times a year as long as I keep it the same spot, they are finicky as to location, just loves her spot in the window facing, which is Southwest. Cool in morning and hot n afternoon. She loves it.

Very nice plant. Congrats on growing it that large.

I have never found mine finicky about location. Mine are all on the back deck right now. They like being outside in the summer.

I'll try to get a picture of my grandmother's, it is at least equal to the ones on here.

Wow! That's a beauty! Nice find, Rob.
