Hello!
I have black hollyhock seed. The perennial type. Looking for other hollyhock, fox glove, Mexican sunflower or ?? seed. I have already started germinating some of these seed for next year and the germination rate has been excellent.

The germination rate of these black hollyhocks is better than excellent! I got it as a novelty. It now threatens to colonize the entire quartier!!! My neighbours are not pleased.

I have deep red and white Hollyhocks. I would love to have the black one, that is just stunning. I have never had problems with germination.

I have a general question. I always see people on the trading forum talking about their want list and have list. Where are these lists kept and how does one veiw them? Thanks.

Cajun .... on the main HOME page of Daves, there are a bunch of Tabs going across the top

Home | My Tools | Communities | Guides & INfo ..... ect.

click the My Tools tab
on the right side... there is a box that says My Tools,
the 3rd one down is TradeList [and when you get familiar with it... check out the Trade Tracker too, once you get trading... it's a super tool. ]

within the Trades List, it will list everyones Haves and Wants.

I think wheni got started with this... I'd be browsing the Plant Files, I'd find a plant that i had or wanted, then all the way at the bottom of the info for said Plant... you can click Add to haves list or wants list.

here is what i just did .... I went to Plant Files and clicked on 4-O'Clocks [because i have many]
then i clicked on the link to the PLANT itself .... this is where all the detailed info is for any plant .... scroll past all the comments, etc, and then you will come upon Trade Tools, where you can click it, to add it to your haves or wants.

here is the link so you can see what i'm talking about.

once you get the hang of it ... it is quite simple.

I do this specifically what i want to add something to my WANTS list....
i will first search for it, then find it in PlantFiles, then go to the Detailed Information on said plant ... i can even see who has said seeds or plant on their haves list... then i may even go so far as to Dmail said person and ask for a trade.

sorry such a long explanation... but hope it helps
