Need Emergency Help with NEWBORN Kitten

Lakeland / Memphis, TN(Zone 7a)

On the way home from work yesterday, I spotted something b/w moving on the side of the road, barely in the grass. Thought it was a baby skunk, so I turned around to check. Well, no skunk this time (DH picked one up for me a few years ago) - but it was this itty bitty, newborn kitten. Eyes still closed, umbilical (sp?) cord still on, but almost off, ears are flopped over, not back - so with that, probably in its 2nd week of life ??? Couldn't just leave it there - no momma cat to be seen, nor could hear other babies around. It was so close to the edge of the road that I was surprised it hadn't been run over yet. Need lots of help here.

I've raised 14 great dane puppies on a bottle before and didn't have any trouble (except the nite feedings.lol). But this thing is so tiny. I am having luck giving it the nurser formula by syringe - but haven't been able to get it to go potty. That's where I need the help !!! Any advise is certainly appreciated as I hate to keep piling food up in its little tummy without getting some expelled.

HELP !!
