I do believe there are 3 hybridizers talking (DAve Harris for sure) and then Keyring who knows so much! Wish they were all still posting on DG.................

It was an excellent thread to read! So much information and a lot of it explained the way I could understand it. ^_^

I thought it interesting that you could cut a sinningia tuber in half and get two plants as long as you cut right through the "eye" or growing point.

I'm still afraid to even take a crown cutting but in theory it sounded good to cut a tuber in half! LOL

Thank you very much girls!X

Brenda, I would be terrified to try the tuber cutting but crown cuttings are really easy once the plant gets big enough. (and it is fun, too)

Theres is alot of info on that thread isn't there.

That thread is what got me into sinningia's. Keyring sent me the AC 1503 that you 2 ladies are growing now.

Hi All;
I have tried cutting a tuber off the mother tuber & it never did anything for me, so i try not to anymore, althou sometimes there are several tubers growing together,i still have not tried that. Top cuttings are a breeze.
