I won this hoya on ebay. It was sold as H. cv Cebu, which I now realize is wrong. I love the leaves and the compact growth, but would like to know the proper name.
Need ID Please
I won a hoya called cebu also on eBay and it had very fuzzy leaves. It looks nothing like what you have. Did you check with the seller to see if the wrong hoya was sent by mistake?
Blessings,
Awanda
That definitely looks like mine. Is it supposed to have yellow flowers? I actually love the little thing! And yellow is my favorite.
Mine hasnt flowered yet, but foliage wise, its one of my favourites. Give it a little sun in the morning or late evening, and the new growth is copper red, if indeed it is the same... A lot of Hoyas look the same when out of flower so its impossible to identify, but whatever this one is, leaf wise it dosent look like anything else I have....yet.
Did I see somewhere a list of all listed Hoya names somewhere that have been published?
Dominic
I found the list of published names tucked away in a corner of my computer. Yes, H quinquinervia is a valid name and if it indeed is, the flowers are yellow with minute purple spots....we shall see
Hoya merrillii...?
I would leave the tag blank until it flowers!!! Could be a bunch of them. Who was the seller?
Christina I think you are probably right. I am new here, but have stared at the pictures on your website for MANY years and hours. I did not realize you were a member here. Thank you for answer
Kerri
The seller was Jim Jacobs on ebay
And he sold it as cv. Cebu? I would not put a lot of faith in his labels, although he does try!!!
Thanks Carol. It is unknown, but quite the cutey.
Oh gosh, that's no shocker at all. I've bought mislabeled plants from him, and I've also bought "rooted cuttings" that were sold as "plants".
Gorgeous hoya regardless.
