If you order a mini from Rob's or Jo's or where ever how long would you expect it should take for them to bloom? I bought 7 mini's and 1 standard from Jo's in April, 3 are trailing. So far only Rob's Ice Ripple has bloomed. Is this a normal time frame or is it a sign that I need to do something different in the way of care?

How long before they should bloom
It usually doesn't take that long unless they were very tiny.Do you give them a weak solution of food with every watering or use another method? How much light do they receive?
Lynn
Yes, food and light are essential. If their leaves as sticking up rather than being horizontal you need to have more light. If they have enough light it must be food related.
They do get diluted food with every watering. They are in the kitchen window, which faces east. Maybe they aren't getting enough light. I'll try another window.
If I forget to send you this week the very best av food, please remind me. Mine bloom grown from leaves in one month on the baby avs. It is a 12-36-14 made by Ken Froesbe at the African Violet Hill Country Nursery in Boerne. He won't ship it..........but I will send you some if you will dmail me with your address, please. I use 1/4 tsp to a gallon of water EVERY SINGLE TIME I WATER MY PLANTS WHICH BLOOM.
I even use it for all my blooming plants outside..........by using 1/2 tsp to a gallon of water.

I think you are not using enough fertilizer..........sometimes I rotate and use av food I buy locally but 90% of the time I use the one from Ken.......consistency in fertilizing is the key to blooming.
