i am sooo sorry sheila! all i could have done was suggest you tuen the egg upside down and candle. i once had a bantam egg pip at what i thought was the wrong end. then i candled and saw that ALL of them had the air cell at the end I THOUGHT was small... so sorry i was thinking of DG, but outside caring for a feverish hen...

hugs, tf
let us know how the other eggs are doing, please candle them!

Oh it is disappointing but definately up to mother nature. I now have 12 of 25 pipped, but these gals are slow pokes. Going to be a long night.

TF what is wrong with your feverish hen. I know I missed this but why do you have to dispose of your eggs???

the hen recovered, i used some herbal tincture in sugar water, and of course a long soak in tepid water. a few others looked like they had watery poo, wet tail gfeathers, so they all got a dose. chances are they got into the goats milk or the ducks eggs. i was more careful where i dumped it today, and i climbed under the fencing to gather the duck eggs. so hopefully everyone will be fine now. sheila, we were aprayed with some kind of organophophate, so nobody feels really well, and the eggs and milk have pesticide residue, sigh... got a flock of sick chicks from it to... just keep me in your prayers, i had been ruunning out of "squeak", then the last two days squeaked to the wrong people. so wheni get my energy back up i have new folks to try to get some help from... had to spend our fair entry money on lab tests, but the results were worth it. just haven't broken the news to the boys that they aren't showing now...

night,

TF, so sorry about the spray getting on your chicks. Hope you can get that straightened out. Why was someone spraying where it would get on your property?

i wish i could say it was accidental, i really dont' know. had i not walked outside and seen it myslef, things could be much worse, not knowing. as it is we still don't know WHAT was sprayed exactly... but us people aren't well either, but we won't likely die from it. hugs to you donna, tf
