I used it on my coleus cuttings all winter after they were rooted. Is that what you mean? While we are on the subject of the "Recipe". What;s the shelf life on this mixture?

I don't know the shelf life. I know it doesn't have to be in the fridge.

. since it is made useing beer... and beer is used to attract slugs to saucers of beer in which they drown... will spraying the recipe on the plants serve to only attract slugs... [Question ]
I have afew slugs hanging about under my planters.. I spray nightly all summer... and haven't noticed too many on my plants themselves.. almost fewer of them... could the amonia or the tree tree oil help repell them... perhaps.. [testamony ]

Dev, you don't want to use anything that would encourage top growth until the root system is formed and is large enough to support that growth. Superthrive doesn't have any nitrogen so while it encourages root growth, it doesn't stimulate top growth.
Superthrive is synthetic, from what I hear.
Check out Spray-N-Grow. A mix of thirty+ micro nutrients. Like, as if you're deficient of one trace element like Iodine, which caused big disease in the South(I could be inaccurate!) What was that name? Beri Beri? And now we do have "Iodized" salt.
Ha, "Iron poor blood" another one. And Vegans have to be aware of B12.
So, look, if just one thingie is missing, the whole plant will suffer. Like, for Humans, they're just figuring "Cold-and-Flu-Season" coincides with a defiency of Vitamin D, the sunshine vitamin. For Humans. Be interesting to study if plants could tolerate colder weather with 'D' supplimentation.

I have no financial relationship with Spray-N-Grow, but the results I've had are amazing.
MoLamOla... yes... I'm a strong and long...[ maybe25years...] Spray-n-grow user... and proponant... and I still spray it.. their cocowet.. and their bills perfec together..everyother week and have for years..
but I must also say since adding a nightly spray of my version of the recipe this year ... never has everything looked better..or been healthier.. freer of disease.. and insect infestation..

the SNG company has a recomendedcombo...warm water w/ a pinch of so of baking soda in it.. to which you add the cocowet..a wetting agent... to get it to stick to and become assimilated easily into theplant.. and the SNG.let it sit for 15 minutes..and then the billsperfect isadded... themix is sprayed on the leaves.. top andbottem...in the evenings or early in the morning. when the poresof the leaves are most open.. they close up in the day to help prevent excessive water transporation... [ water leaving the plant ].. I do this about everyweek... [ perhapsabit more than they recomend..every two weeks ] ...replacing it on the third or fourth week with a spraying of messenger.. it does promote flowering.. and bud development...
The recipe I use inwatering new seedlings... andasasprayafter thtey have some good leaf development.. whenIheard it wasbeingsprayedeveryday...I thought if I was so good to them that I sprayed even plain water on them every day they would be better off...but I never seem to do so..useing the recipe.. it's easier for me to remember to spray it every day.. and I see they love it so.. so useing it gets me spraying every evening or morning.. and the sky is pink now... and I didn't spray last evening.. so it's up to do so right now.. I mix my recipe up with abit of maricle grow...the balanced one at the early part of the year...and mix it up with some bloom booster in the latter part of the season... the recipe seems to have plenty of nitrogen and makes everything so nice and green.. there's other foods and things my potted plants get.. and outside I water with the balanced ferts or bloombooster twice a week depending on the time of year.. or if it is a foilage plant or bloomer..
