NNY'ers adopt a brug

Watertown, NY

Once again, in a few weeks I will have some big brugs which did not make my cut to give away. If any of you live near me and want to adopt a big brug PM me. I will have Balao, spring peach, Rosenquartz, and several others to be determined. Every year I get a bunch of new ones, but come fall I have to find new homes for ones that either look too much like others we have or just do not excite us.

We live about 1 hour north of Syracuse.

Pensacola, FL(Zone 8b)

Wish I lived near you I have been wanting rosenquartz............lol

James

Carol usually goes, maybe she will give you a ride

Watertown, NY

Elva, I am not keeping Balao because she looks just like Ecuador pink. I have a 12 foot EP.

Pensacola, FL(Zone 8b)

OH I may be going with Carol thought it was in october

Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

It is in Oct.

Watertown, NY

Oh right, i am not going this time so i didn't pay attention to when it is.

Cumberland, MD(Zone 6a)

Is anybody driving through MD?

Watertown, NY

I should add, these brugs are very large. One is about 4 feet, the rest are over 8 feet. They can not be mailed.

Nassau County, NY(Zone 7a)

WOW, they are so big and I am drooling here. I am in your state but it looks pretty far for me. It is very tempting though!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

How about sending some cuttings?

Watertown, NY

I work 65 hours a week and more. I just don't have time to take wrap and pack cuttings then go stand in line at the post office. If you have done this you will have some idea of how much work it is. It also always ends costing money to ship those boxes that where heavier then I thought they would be.

I am sorry, I just can't do it.

North Augusta, ON

Wow, 1 hour north of Syracuse almost puts you in Canada doesn't it?

It would be too obvious in the car going over the border or I'd jump all over it...LOL

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

I agree, it is a lot of work.

Watertown, NY

Yeah, I am 20 minutes from Canada.

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

dress it up with ribbons and bows.. and inport it properly...as the party decoration it is.. Gordon

North Augusta, ON

I can see me, crossing the border with a 7 foot Brug in a mid-size sedan...peeking around a veil of blooms through the windshield...branches let loose as I roll down the window to pay the toll...not obvious at all!!!

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

they'd .not believe it was real.. sure lady.. 16 " :flowers... got to be synthetic.

Watertown, NY

Offer over folks, all brugs have found a home.

North Augusta, ON

Whew, that is good news!!

Hubby got worried when I asked him if the back seats fold down ^_^

(Kim) Philadelphi, PA(Zone 6a)

Very nice!!

Albany (again), NY(Zone 5b)

Brenda - THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel so fortunate to have been introduced to you by Dawna - and then to drive out and see your lovely yard, learn so many new things and come home with some very special treats. Your generosity with your knowledge and cuttings and whole plants was greatly appreciated.

Too many varieties to list - but WOW!! Chris was thrilled when I told her to take the 3-4 foot tall blooming one (was that Balao?).

I'll definitely try to do justice to your generosity to a newbie trying to get started again.

Watertown, NY

Yes, by all means pay it forward. That is what gardening is all about. It was so much fun to have you come and load you up.

Look at what Pink Beauty did a few hours after you left, and this is only one for the tiers of blooms.
