Blue Barrel, Eagle's Claw
Echinocactus horizonthalonius
8/08/08 was lucky for me as this bloomed in my yard
Blue Barrel, Eagle's Claw (Echinocactus horizonthalonius)
This looks more like Echinocactus horizonthalonius than texensis... you sure about the id?
I looked them both up at the USDA site and I think it is Echinocactus horizonthalonius, we have always called the Horse Cripplers! Can we move that photo to the proper place? Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
The photo has been moved. Thanks for working through this.
cactus patch, just for future reference, if you find an error that you need to report to admin, just click on the red report an error button in the top right hand corner of every plantfile page. From the page the error is on, click on the button and and let us know what the problem is, and if you can give some links to sources that back up your request, that would be great.
Will do, thanks for the help Joan.
