Hello All.
This is my giant Rosamond X Ecuador Pink that always does well and blooms all summer long. I recently noticed that one of the branches appears to be dying, wilting completely even though the plant is well watered. The plant otherwise appears healthy. Any thoughts on what the problem is? Should I remove the branch?
Thank you.
Erick
Advice please...
If you could post a close-up of part of that branch perhaps someone might see something causing the problem.
Great looking plant other wise Eric...do they spray for mosquitoes going down the street in your town.. the limb being curbside I'd suspect it was a result of human [neanderthal ] intervention.
was it suddenly wilted so .. it migh thave been a physical traumma also..wacked on the way by
Such a lovely gift to the neighborhood... having it displayed out front.. I'd love to put one out on the street.....but I don't except for 9-11..when I take a big bloomer down...the 5 flights..and write 9-11 on the pot of the Angel Trumpet. Gordon
Oh, Gordon, what a beautiful, thoughtful gesture. I had a sport off Maya do that, it was the whole plant. I got pretty dry one day, other plants beside it in the same size pot were just as dry and it was the only one that wilted, but it's not coming back... I thought it was probably because it was a sport, like maybe it was deformed or missing something... Erick, how is your plant today?
Thank you all for the helpful comments. I now suspect, as GordonHawk suggests, that there was something sprayed on or otherwise damaged the branch. It has continued to decline, but I can see signs of new growth like it is recovering a bit.

So glad the rest of your plant wasn't affected. New growth IS a good sign. -B
