I have a question about the brugs

This is the first year I have ever managed to even get a brug that would grow. CindyB sent me some cuttings and they have been growing beautifully in my back yard in pots. I live in zone 7 in S. Carolina. My question is does anyone know if they would survive "if" I were to put them in the ground? Would they over winter here? Or should I leave them in the pots and bring them inside for the winter months?

Try this site it will give you loads of information.

Thank you! What a wonderful, informative site!!!

Northern Piedmont, NC(Zone 7b)

idit, I am in N.Carolina zone7 (up near the VA. border) where we might get a tad colder than you and the one I grew in the ground survived just fine. It was a cutting when I planted it, so since I had the mother plant to take inside, I decided to take a chance. It grew to more than 5'tall with beautiful blooms. It survived the winter (well mulched) and is now growing great...4' tall and 2 stems instead of one.

The bad side is that it has not bloomed yet this year :( Perhaps the cuttings I planted in full sun this spring will do better and give me blooms next year. At any rate, I am enjoying the blooms and wonderful fragance on the ones in pots now.
