What do you do with the dropped, rotted figs from your tree? Do you remove them, and if so, what fo you do with them? Or do you leave them as "compost" under the tree? My tree is over 20 feet tall, so picking them all is not an option.
fig fruit in compost pile?
2nd Chance, Are you bothered with fruit flies when you just leave them on the ground as compost?
Nope.
2ndChance, Do you have a compost pile to put them in? Or maybe the rotting mess under the tree isn't a problem for you. I could live with it without flies which you say you don't have.
Do they have javalina in Tempe? They like figs. Maybe you could just leave the gate open.
Well, the mess isn't a problem, but I'd like to plant under there and I'm not sure if fig fruit compost will be a problem. No javalina in the city! Maybe I could borrow a pot belly pig, though.
