question re Floratam and hybrids in general

Rockport, TX(Zone 9b)

I know that Floratam is a hybrid that is sterile. The grass I have that is supposed to be Floratam has seedheads. I'm told that Floratam does not produce seed. Is that true, and is it true that all hybrids do not produce seed? Is it possible for a hybrid to produce sterile seeds? I'm looking to conclude definitively that this grass is not Floratam.

Hybrids do produce seeds, but they will likely revert to one of the plants that created the hybrid and not the same plant the seeds were on. I hope that made sense. I.E. if you cross apple A and apple B, you get apple C. If you take seeds from apple C, they will likely produce A and B again, not C.

Does anybody know whether Floratam produces seed?
