Sassafras and Other Wild Plant/Seed Recipes

Louisville, KY

Folks who learn to live off the land have discovered many plant/seed varieties which provide foods for the table. Most of us don't know anything about what you can and can not eat from the wild. I am passing along some interesting recipes and the sources with identification of many of the wild plants we can take advantage of when they are in season. So sitting on the porch or in the swing in the summer would be just fine with me; maybe a cold Sassafras or Sarsaparilla for me for refreshment! If we were in the mood of some excitin' eaten we would forage near by for some good eats. Check all the good recipes below.
Perhaps you know or remember plants you and your family shared in days gone by. Please feel free to post those here and how you used them.
