A wagonload of cats & kittens

I saw this at a nursery & fell in love with it. You must drill holes in the bottom of the wagon. She leaves it out all winter.

Those are great! Guess I need to find an old Radio Flyer.......Don't throw anything away....... plant it!

If you look on that ladder, right side middle, you will see she has planted them in a cowboy boot. I have them planted in old shoes. Lots of fun. I even buy teapots, etc at yardsales & plant flowers in them.

Oh, I Love that wagon! About 6 or 7 years ago our next door neighbors were moving and they had one of the kids wagons out at the street for the trash ... I was late for an appointment and should have grabbed it before I left but forgot ... yep, it was gone when I got home! I've been looking for a used wagon since! I grabbed an old dresser mirror from other neighbor's trash a few years ago, took off the hardware that had attached it to the dresser, painted the wood frame a hunter green and hung it on the side of my shed. It looks nice reflecting the greenery in the garden. My husband wondered why someone would put a mirror outdoors. Same with old chairs! I have two old wooden chairs that have so many coats of paint on them, I had one out in the yard with a plant sitting on it and the other is on the deck being used to hold a plant also. One day I came home and found the one from the yard on the deck ... hubby thought I had left it out by mistake and it was fixin to rain so he brought it in for me. LOL. I told him that it was meant to be out in the garden. He just doesn't understand. I've also been looking for an old two wheel bicycle forever - just a rusty old thing to put in the yard so I can hang a basket on it and fill it with flowers.

Buttoneer: I am just like you ... I will put a plant in any kind of container! I tried to salvage one of my DH's old sneakers once, I only wanted one for a planter but he threw them in the garbage before I could get to them. He said "They were really ratty, full of holes ... I said, I know but I could have used one! I think different, unique containers give character to plants and flowers!
