OMG, I just found those same exact eggs on an Japanese Iris Leave. I assumed they were Iris borers and disposed of them. I hope I wasn't too hasty.

Yikes!! Anything that quantity is a little frightening! I would put it in a container and wait to see what emerges. Don't forget to show us!
