Hi,
I am looking for a Canadian source for hydrangeas. I am particularly looking for Hydrangea Quercifolia 'Harmony'.
Thanks,
Charmaine
Canadian source for hydrangeas

Hi
I wonder if the Monrovia group at www.monrovia.com would have what you are looking for. At least you would know if it is available in Canada.
Three years ago I got an Angels Blush Hydrangea which is Hydrangea Paniculata 'Ruby' from a local Tree/ Garden shop and it has the Monrovia tag on it .

Brentwood Bay Nurseries close to Victoria handles a lot of hydrangeas. They don't list them all on their website but they encourage you to send them an e-mail if you have a particular request.

Thank you both for your response. I will certainly contact them.
Thanks,
Charmaine
ggd - I looked at Brentwood and they do have what I am looking for. Thanks, again.
Annabell - I was wondering what your experience has been growing hydrangeas in containers. There are a few Mops that I would like to try, but I am scared about putting them in the ground. I am thinking about putting Ayiesha in a container and 'Harmony' in the ground.

Sorry mine is in the ground, near the house and very protected as we are zone3.
If you have a real big hankering for one it's worth a try. If you can get it to go dormant properly and then move the pot to give it a few more zones you may be lucky. Maybe someone else can give you more info.
I do have a friend who overwinters her Roady in the ground and she saves all the leaves off the other trees and just before the winter really sets in she builds a wire cage all around it and fills it up with the leaves. The trick is in the spring so she removes the "house" before it gets too warm and sets in a fungus. She has been lucky so far.
