Who am I?

How cute is this little fella? Found him in my flower bed and decided I "needed" some pics of him. Any help IDing him would be greatly appreciated - also what he eats. Thanks so much

He is approx 3/4" long - I threw some Passi leaves in with him - tried to get some of the mikweed but the aphids have about decimated it...ugh!

don't touch it. It's a saddleback. Painful stings!

Mrs_Ed - thank you for such a quick ID and warning! I kinda thought by looking at him that I should avoid coming into contact with him...just wanted him for photo purposes...LOL

hee hee!!!

Yah, a friend of mine just told me about it a couple of weeks ago.

Amazing something THAT size can cause such pain, eh? Will make sure to release him away from MY plants - esp those I weed around. If he likes trees he can go into the neighbor's tree. LOL

It said apple, asters, blueberries, citrus, corn, dogwoods, elms, grapes, linden, maples, oaks, Prunus species, sunflowers and viburnums. Is there anything like that it could be carefully moved to? It IS cute...wouldn't want it starving.

All that being said - went to take him out to show him to someone and what do you think happened? UGH!!! Those things HURT!!!! I thought he was still on the leaf - while picking it up, realized too late he was on the side of the container....yeow-ch!!!
