Thanks, everybody!

That's a pretty rose, Gail . . . did you get that during one of your nursery visits?

I'm leaving work here in about 2 hours. Gonna go home and do some work on my outside garden before I pick up DS from daycare to go visit his kindergarten teacher. I've kinda neglected (as far as mowing, trimming, seed collecting) my outside plants, with the exception of watering. (can anyone guess why?) It's a jungle back there!

Thank you everyone!

plantladylin - Never too late! Good to see you made it through the storm! Any damage?

(Zone 1)

So far, so good here! We haven't had the brunt of "Fay" yet ... she is a very slow moving storm, about 2 mph right now! Folks a bit south of us got it real bad ... 25-30" of rain before it's all over with in the Brevard County (Cocoa Beach) area.

We are due to get hit with it tonight! We've had some gusty winds and squalls of rains coming in all afternoon and a few palm tree branches blowing around but nothing bad so far. We secured everything the best we could. I have a lot of container plants that I put up against the back (westside) of the house yesterday and I tipped over a lot of container plants in the yard and a heavy birdbath. Some plants that were in the trees I just sat on the ground in a corner of the yard by the fence. We should be okay. A newsbreak just came on again and shows the storm is stationary. The center of the storm is off shore now in the warm waters of the gulf stream and it has a chance of intensifying while it stays over those warm waters but hopefully it will start moving and pick up speed and get out of here real soon! LOL. I can just imagine how high the grass will be by the time I can mow again! We are supposed to have rain through the weekend!
