Hylocereus undatus

Colton, CA(Zone 8b)

I have never visited this forum before, so what I am posting here may be old hat to you guys. Someone on the Cactus & Succulent forum which I frequent suggested that I do this post. This picture was taken at night with a flash. You guys probably knew that already.

The first picture is of a few of the fourteen blooms I had earlier this year. This next picture is of the plant shortly after I hand pollinated the blooms. There are three plants in close proximity. Sorry about the humongous image. I am still learning how to do this stuff.

This next picture is of the fruit about three weeks after pollinating.

The fruit after it is ripe. The half empty shell in the photo demonstrates how it is eaten by just scooping it out of the shell. It is a bland flavored fruit, but good. Some prefer to squeeze a little lemon or lime juice to liven up the flavor a little. The seeds you see are inconsquentual and you hardly notice them.
