Well, until I read some posts in this forum, I thought mushroom compost was MUSHROOMS, aged and ground up maybe, and now I know better. But I'm still wondering, if the mushrooms I find in the yard (especially at the animal shelter where I volunteer, there are TONS of them, some of them huge!) can be tossed into my compost bin?

I don't know any reason why not.
