My kitten, at a loss what to do

Vancouver, WA(Zone 8a)

I've had 3 cats for 14 years. One was sick for several years and when it came time recently, we said goodby to her. I got 2 kittens, though not from the same person. Kiki, was 5 weeks old and I had to feed her water from a syringe the first day. I called the lady I got her from and she said 2 others from the same litter were doing ok but she would take Kiki back for a week. I got her on Saturday, the lady said she was still nursing a lot but seemed to be doing fine. She is very cute, active and plays with the other new kitten. She still won't drink from anything but one of those little pet nursing bottles. She is eating wet food. She also won't use a litter box. The other 3 use the LitterMaid self cleaning box, but thinking she didn't like using theirs, we got her a seperate little box. We put her in it, we use her paw to mimic the scratching and she just jumps right out. Found a little pile on the bedroom floor. My older cat also informed me of a wet spot in the hallway. The litter thing is probably most important right now since I moved in here a year ago with 3 cats (with the managers permission). But that manager is gone and the owner doesn't like cats and does not know I have any. She lives in California. Any suggestions, or ideas are welcome.
Thanks
Vicki
