Oh heavens! It looks like you crossed one of your silkies with a rabbit! My rooster is good, but I'm not sure he could do THAT. (Well maybe if he could CATCH the bunnies....)

lol that is just to funny and what i thought of when i seen the bunny. I might just maybe get into the bunny breeding also but that will be next year. I do have a friend of ours that will help me cull them.

Buddie is a dead ringer for my checkered giant but smaller--which I also have but got from another family member who got the parents at an auction. It's (mine) is a very nice, easy going rabbit. AND, my rabbits that are solid (red New Zealands, in my case) are called broken red or broken castor.

Red rabbits come in so many breeds but I was told the color is called "castor".

I only have one dutch dwarf and 1 lop and would love to find more. They are a nice rabbit. I breed for food (the giant breeds) and for fun for the other breeds. My very favorite are the New Zealands because of their calmness. The Florida Whites are whack-a-doo. I have a checkered giant that is a sweetheart too.

I believe I have about 60 to 100 rabbits. Not real sure..the census changes often.

I will do my best for pics. I joined the ARBA and got their breeder's directory and found many helpful people in my area. They give addresses, no phone #'s, but you can send out a generic letter for help and info. Rabbit people are nice.

I wish we were closer!
