Chocolate Crispers

(Mary) Poway, CA(Zone 10a)

2 eggs
1 cup of Sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 squares unsweetened baking chocolate
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Beat eggs, add sugar and vanilla.
Melt the shortening and chocolate together, and then add to the above. Then mix in the flour and baking soda.

Place in greased pan, sprinkle with the nuts. I gently press them into the batter slightly, but don't cover them with batter.

325 degrees 30 minutes.
