Saw Leaf Daisy for Broncbuster!

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

TJ, the seeds you gave me have grown MONSTERS!! The SawLeaf Daisy in this picture is easily 8+ feet tall and is just beginning to bloom. I had no idea that these things would grow so tall. Yowza!

Thanks, Josephine. That daisy is a giant, and I don't know why. I didn't do anything at all, no fertilizer or extra water or anything.

It must be your excellent organic soil Carla.

Very impressive, Carla! Remember, I told you that they didn't need any care whatsoever. I collected those seeds from the plants that grow here at the depot. The soil here is far from healthy, and they receive absolutely no supplemental irrigation. I'm sorry for the delay in my response, I haven't been checking the Texas Forum lately, just reading watched threads and d-mails.

It really is a carefree plant, TJ. And the blooms are really pretty. Next year I must remember to plant them out by the back fence, since they want to grow so tall for me.

Yes, they make good background and filler plants because they are quite tall and leggy. These around here only get about 4-5ft tall, so your good soil must have boosted them up. I think it's interesting that they look so dangerous, but they are really very frindly with their rubbery leaves.
