1 cup sugar
1/2 cup Butter
2 eggs
1/2 pint (1 cup) Sour Cream
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
pinch of salt
Filling
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup diced apples
Cream sugar with butter. Add eggs, sour cream, vanilla and dry ingrediants. Beat until smooth.
Mix sugar, cinnamon, nuts and apples and set aide.
Grease 10 inch tube pan.
Pour half the batter in pan, then half the filling. Then add the second half of the batter, and 2nd half of the filling.
350 degrees for about 1 hour. Test with a toothpick.
I believe favorite recipes should be shared so they aren't lost if a branch of the family passes on. Some family members don't cook, so I've personally seen cherished recipes lost forever.
