K, it isn't finished being planted but the skeeters were eating me up. I used stuff I had around,
Sedums-dragons blood, angeline and a wild type with a yellow bloom.
Serrissa/Privet
Some weedy clumping grass with neat seed heads and a few other odds and ends.
This will be jam packed when I'm finished-in hopes it will help keep growth stunted, lmbo.
Patio is a cork coaster thingy.
Almost not done, lol
Imma make a nice pathway and have fallen logs and whatnot
Ya know imma be up doing this tonight dontya? LOLLOL!!!
No more piccies for now.
Honest opinions (other than the scale thing!), ya won't hurt me feelings and I loooooooove getting ideas from people. Everything ya'll tell me will help me write better articles so many people can see how much fun were all having!
I'm gonna do a tutorial on Penjin cause grampapa is doing one on a Fairy Garden (wish they'd hurrrrry cause I wanna read it!-lmbo)
It's a lot of the same concept only I suppose more attention is paid to scale and placement. Just as fun as fairies though!
That is so neat..you already had all those plants at the house?
I want to see a little fairy in there somewhere now.
looking good :0)
I like it. Doesn't have to be to scale totally. Like a Grandma Moses painting.^_^
If I ever get my camera/computer fixed so I can upload pics I made some more miniatures I wanna share.
Thanks!
Love your little pottery things.
TY so much willow, I LOVE your name!
From "Wind in the Willows"
I love that book.
Willowwind2 - I had thought of asking too... that's what it made me think of. I never got around to reading the books, though I want to, but I loved the series. I've watched it with DSD and we both love it.
Man, I went to water my fairy garden and saw the dog had dug it up! Plants were scattered and the birdbath knocked over. :-(
The I looked closer and saw the real culprit, a TOAD! He isa VERY naughty toad.
BAD TOAD BAD BAD!!!
' Sir Toady McToots'Alot le Deviant '
He's evil, dont let the bumply face fool yaz.
Crimson-
good morning
I think your toad is the second visitor, if you had that much damage. We have lots of toads and one found one of my fairy dishes. But, he only burrowed a spot half the size of himself, to tuck into...
Now, squirrels could easily do that, as well as hungry racoons, or any varmit, for that matter.
Sorry about your little garden. Is is salvagable?
Ohh maybe I made it sound worse that it was LOL.
I think when he was hopping around in the dish he knocked the planter over and the area he demolished well it was kind of big, twice his size maybe. I would never rule out squirrel or raccoons though, lol. We've got so many of those LOL.
I fixed it in a couple of minutes, just gotta eplace a few plants that fried in the sun, LOL.
On a happier note,
The guts out of a (CLEAN, lol) baby diaper really keeps the plants happy, lol. I water once a day and the dishes are in full sun mostly clay soil that dries out fast to be hard and impossible to grow in! The largest container is only prolly 1 1/2 inches deep.
Honestly, can't you see it in his cheeky glare SP? He is a deviant and he did it, maybe he recruited the squirrels and coons! Dear lord, it's a conspiracy, LOL.
I moved the garden to an upright log, I bet now he gets the jays to start their demolition work next! lol
I wuv him! I have never seen damage from a toad. Are you sure he did bad things? I think he was framed! hehe. I love thier hands and footies.
LOL...He was framed
LOL!
I think it was the bumblebee that framed him. Toady ate his fly buddy :-O.
I want to try to make some of your pottery - it's too cute. I love your fat little toady, but you are wrong! He's completely innocent! Wrong place, wrong time was his problem.
Ive posted an article on how to make these pots on another site. Lemme DMail you the link. ^_^
They're reallly easy to do!
I still say the toad is guilty lol.
Mr Toad did NOT do that damage... look at his innocent little face, no way he did it!! He probably chased away the culprit who did the deed, too! Shame on you for blaming the little guy!! I agree, he was framed!!!!!
Willow your toad is adorable also. Look at those fat little arms!
Aaah, your toad is a cute one, too, Willowwind2!! I'm going to have to start carrying my camera with me in the yard. My toads are always gone by the time I get back with the camera!!
I just knew it couldn't be Mr Toad...
Mr Groundhog is busted!!
WOW, great picture of the evil culprit, hehe. Poor toad, I bet he is glad he is off the hook. I knew he was framed. Truth always comes out! Again, great photo!
LOL! Ya know this thing has lived on our property since before we bought it and I have never gotten a picture until then.
He's a cheeky one thtas for sure, constantly getting the hounds barking at him/her LOL!
Imma plant a wild garden just for the GH so maybe it won't nibble my flowers as much. :-D
I smell another article LOL.
Jocelyn – cute little fellow, even if he is eating your plants.
I just looked at him again. Looks like he is hiding and making a fist like he is really trying to blame Mr. Frog. That FIST! SO cute! He even looks a bit angry, hehe.
LOL- YEa hes a cutie stinker zhinu, lol.
Ive named him (thanks to sally, LOL) "Sir Tooty Makes a Fist Al`lot" ^_^ He's of a proud lot. LMBO!
