Two days ago I came out of my home to a very noisy clump of babies in the driveway.
House wrens fledge
Unfortunately I later found one dead-must have been the one who appeared weak and hid under the orchid shelves. (Nature red in tooth and claw.)
All the rest flew away. I hope to see them grown and back next year!
Great pics boojum! Their precious!
Adorable boojum...I've never seen a House Wren!
boojum, they are absolutely adorable. Think of posting also on the birds and flowers thread.
Okay! Thanks all. I was in a hurry that morning but what a photo opp!
Wonderful pictures boojum! What an incredible opportunity to experience those birds up close and personal. Very typical house wrens - chattering all the while it looks like. Thanks for sharing.
awww....they are sooo cute!
Thanks all!! They were so cute! And very chatty!
Hi boojum: They are so fragile, aren't they? I just released a pair of house wren fledglings that I raised (I am a licensed wl rehabber) about 2-3 weeks ago. They were so sweet to raise.
Do you think I could have saved the one that died? It was cheeping weakly when I found it and died soon after.
Doubt it.
Thanks. I was feeling guilty here.
They are some sweet boojum, thanks for sharing them with us.
You're very welcome!
Thank you for sharing those pictures. So awesome.
