Oh my goodness ... that is too cute! I used to collect Owl figurines, that reminds me of one I had that had a handle on the back, it was actually a cup/mug. I had a large coffee mug collection that had owl designs on them too. I decided a few years ago to de-clutter and packed up boxes and boxes of owl's and had my DH take them and donate them to the thrift shop! I still have a couple around .... gotta look for that mug! I can put a gessie in it!

These are the ones i have flowering at the moment. Most of my streps are still in flower buds.

I also have some ears popping out of my leaf cuttings.

Lin, I collect all types of containers for my plants. There is an "antique" market nearby and I get little things from there. I also have some Av pots. The owl is one of them and I have a checken one as well.

Thank you Susan.:o)

Susan, when I wa a child i used to root Avs this way. when there are enogh roots you just make a little hole in the potting soil and spread the roots around it then cover them with more soil.

I think you have to water it well fror a bit as the roots will need water. They are called water roots and are a bit different from the roots that grow in the soil.

This is what I heard. Where ig Gail these days?

How long did it take for the roots to appear? Is it faster that using perlite or compost?

Good luck!

Hey Girl,
Maybe 2 1/2 weeks... I have roots but I am letting them sit for a few more to come...LOL They seem to really root well from the middle stem and I don't know weather to wait for more roots from the sides of the plants? Gail is missing because of her shingles... She is grumpy as she told me.. I told her I am grumpy without shingles...LOLOLOL I had chicken pock at the ripe old age of 41 and to this day I still question the Dr's ID of them... But hey a lady came into work and she asked why I was itching and I told her I think I had chiggers.. She ripped my smock up and said dear I was born in the south and these ain't chiggers, did you never have chicken pocks... So maybe the doctor was right I don't really know...LOLOL I never did have them as a child or when my children got them... I had pocks where no lady should..LOLOL
Spider your plants are really very beautiful...

Susan

Spider, your plants are beautiful. I love your little pots too. I have a 'thing' for pots. I go to Old Time Pottery at least once a month and see what they have. I usually come home with at least one. I use them for cache pots for my hoya. Now that I have three epicia, I will have to look for something for them. I love the little painted yogurt pots that Jannich makes and I'm gonna try to do a few.
I only came to this forum for epicia help, and now I'm out looking for other gessies. I thought one 'addiction' was enough, but now I want more. I'm going to try AVs again too. ^_^
