I can't access my hotmail

The cat knocked the computer connects out twice this morning. Now I can't access my hotmail. I have tried all the passwords that I have written down.
A blue stripe highlights my email address also after I have written it and the ?password. What can I do? I have no idea what my windows Live ID is.

please help.
