Hi All!
I'm giving a talk on Butterfly Gardening at our local library tommorrow and I am without a picture of a Buckeye egg. Does anyone have one that I could use?
I'd truly appreciate it!

Needed!! Picture of a Buckeye egg
Adrienne,
You might ask Edith from Butterfliesetc.com if you can use her photos. Their website has some good photos of various butterfly life cycles.

Thanks Cat-just wondered if ANYONE has raised these guys...

We have a tank at MOSI that supposedly has some in it, but I was peering into it last weekend and didn't see anything. Then again, I try not to root around and distrub everyone. I'll check again tomorrow and see what's going on with it. By the way, they laid eggs are on plaintains apparently.

I think Miss Sherry from Mississippi raised some a few years ago. She usually hangs out in the other website (Garden Web).

The Buckeye has numerous host plants per this site..

I've raised the Buckeye, but don't have a photo of the egg. I just found them on Agalinis plants as cats. The Agalinis haven't appeared yet around here yet (that I've noticed, anyway), but I hope with the rain they're forecasting for this week, it will be soon.
