Several cuttings one box

Lubbock, TX

I have 16 cuttings of E. Strictum(sp). Can they all be rooted in one container?

Mountlake Terrace, WA(Zone 8a)

Personally I would root them individually in 4" pots, and if you want, pot them up together after rooting.

I never know which cuttings are going to root and give new growth. Right now, I have about 8 cuttings that have been potted for months, and only about half are sprouting leaves.

And you really don't want to cull them out of a pot of growing epis. Besides, each cutting has the potential to be a big plant. You can give away the extras, 16 is an awful lot of cuttings.

Thanks Analogdog.

I have about 20 cuttings in a pot, they all rooted without any problem. It is now huge plants in constant bloom. Mine are outside year round growing in a 24"(soil is only half filled) pot to support the plants.
