Are fairies supposed to hibernate during winter? LOL, the reason I ask is because I've been looking for an appropriate fairy for a winter scene. I'd like to make a winter scene under one of those glass domes. There aren't many fairies even wearing long sleeves. I'd like to hear your ideas, thanks.

Silly question?
There must be evergreen and poinsettia fairies, as well as a few others. Dryads might be out as well.
There are Ice fairys, Snow fairies and Christmas fairies here that I have seen in the time of the dark and the cold. They are immune to cold and wind (actually some of them make wind) which is why they still wear wispy outfits. Most of the ones I have seen are sparkly. I think they are different fairies than the ones seen in the time of the sun and the warm. I will ask the next time I see one and report back.
Thanks zhinu and dahlianut.
Snow Fairies were the magic words. Found a few under that search, so they do exist.

I like Christmas fairies, they're what spreads the Christmas spirit. Haven't you ever wondered why it spreads slower in cities then in the country? Most fairies have issues with iron, so it's only the adapted fairies that live in cities. There are fewer of those.
You're right, zhinu. Fairies need gardens (even in winter), so that's why you rarely see them in a city.
That's another great reason to leave your garden clean up til the spring so there is a winter garden for your fairies. I have more winter fairies than summer fairies. But then I have more winter than summer period LOL.
Sue where is that picture from..... you have drummed up some memories
