Taking hydrocortisone for poison ivy

Hi all,
I posted a couple of weeks ago about being allergic to tea tree oil when I used it on my toe for foot fungus. Had a horrid reaction w/ swelling, redness, oozing, etc. It started to spread and looked more like poison ivy; at any rate it was surely a contact dermititis of some sort. I finally caved and had my doc prescribe Prednisone; am on a 12 day course that includes tapering off. I am seeing quite an improvement. I've never taken this before and am aware of the usual side affects. It does seem to be disrupting my already disrupted sleep ability. Anybody else have experience with this kind of drug usage? Is there something I can be doing to counteract its potent affects that include suppressing the immune system? I read that it can even cause fat deposit with short term use. Any input will be appreciated!
