Glad to be onboard at Daves Garden. We have visited many times thru the years , but never signed up until now. We are interested in trying strawbale gardening an found alot of info on this site. Our soil is red clay and rocks, not very useful for gardening .I thought about raised beds but decided on strawbale.

hello adn welcome to daves garden from upstate new york. sometimes people with very bad soil simply dig a whole when there want to plant and then fill it will good soil.

Welcome to DG. As you've already seen, there is alot of information here to get you on the road to beautiful flowers and veggies and plenty of 'coffee talk' too.
I lived in Jax in the early to mid 70's and still have friends up that way. It's a lovely area with many great gardens/gardeners.

Welcome, I've been away and am trying to get caught up. Straw bale gardening sounds neat. I think I need to check it out. My DS in OR. has clay soil.
