Will Trade Beaded Jewelry for Houseplants/perrenials

Thomasboro, IL(Zone 5b)

I make beaded bracelets and necklaces and would love to trade for some seeds/plants!

We need some nice perrenials for around the house! Please feel free to contact me if I have anything you might be interested in and I will also be happy to send you something!!

I have a large burm that has butterfly bushes, mexican hats, tickseed, ornamental milkweed, four-o-clocks, bee balm and purple coneflowers.. but I had about 4 times as many weeds as I did flowers!!

We also had to rip out two very large gooseberry bushes. We have some columbine, purple irises, peonies, elderberries, a rosebush and some stargazer lillies along our fence.

Around the house we have some unknown bushes, hostas, a fern, some half dead bleeding hearts, more peonies, orange daylillies, a shrivled clematis, purple bearded iris and some white siberian iris.

WE HAVE LOTS OF BALD SPOTS!

Also, I have a few spider plant starts going inside the house!

I cannot wait to start planting! Unfortunately, August isn't the ideal time of the year to begin planting, so I will have to bide my time trying to figure out what cultivars I have growing and preparing the flowerbeds for fall. We need a truckload of fresh dirt for the berm and I need to lay down some landscape fabric and fresh mulch over everything...

Also, the japanese beetles have had a field day destroying plants!! They have just about killed some of the butterfly bushes and clematis.

Being a newbie here, I am hoping to learn some more about managing a nice flowerbed and starting some more tropical plants in the sunny bay window of my house.

I have mostly been making a wish list on Dave's Garden!!!

Do you have any others you've made for trade. I have blackberry lily seeds. These are easy to grow, pretty and multiply. Your link doesn't work.

If you would like me to make something for you, just let me know :

color beads
length
kind of clasp (toggle, barrel/screw, magnetic, lobster, etc and color (silver/gold)
Material to string it on - tigertail/metal, beading thread, stretchy stuff, nylon/fishing line, etc....

If you have some of your own beads I can do that too!!

I will send you out the pattern to that bracelet too!!

I can also make dangle earrings!!! I have made a bunch for the local animal shelter and HIV/AIDS fundraisers in town....

HI, will check your wish list further, already have some that you want. Have done beading for years, but never learned (or had patience for ) the time/skill for the woven pieces-so that is what I would be looking for.

Ah yes, Japanese beetles..we should be done with them about the same time you are, in case there is a # of plants that you would be interested in hardy perennials.

Melfa, VA(Zone 8a)

LOL!!! I would trade for the half dead bleeding hearts!!! Check out my list!!!

I just have to say that those are all beautiful. Beading takes such good eyesight, dexterity, skill and patience. And I'm losing all of those rapidly. That's not to mention the creativity that it takes to come up with the designs. Nice job, PinkysPlants.

PinkysPlants,

Thank for such a wonderful trade. You sent more than I asked for. I love them!!!! You truly have a gift.

Thanks for trading,

It looks like you do good work and I'm interested in talking trades.

As to what I have to offer; from your list I have grape hyacinth (I have tons of these), Louisiana iris 'Black Gamecock', Dutch iris 'Bronze Queen', salvia Transylvanica, tricyrtis hirta and possibly peony 'Festiva Maxima' right now. I also have dicentra spectabilis and possibly the white bleeding heart (I will have to see them in bloom to pick out the white seedlings) but need to wait until next spring for these. I think your ratty bleeding hearts may actually end up being okay next year, as they tend to go summer dormant.

I have lots of other things not on your wish list, especially daylilies. Right now, I have pale blue Siberian iris dug and sitting in water - also a ton of yellow trumpet daffodils. I have many other plants in holding beds ready to be potted for sale or trade next spring, including some peonies. I also have a few other Siberians in pots which are Rill, Vi Luihn or Steve. I think the Steve are all gone and think I can pick out one each of the other two based on the difference in their foliage color.

Here's a link to my exchange page on Garden Web http://members.gardenweb.com/members/exch/daylilly99 though it's not at all up to date with everything I will have to offer next spring. I also suggest you look at my Member Page (also out of date, somewhat) for a long list of daylilies I grow with photos (if you have any interest in these). A photo of the Siberian iris is included here.

Thanks for offering such pretty things and let me know if you're interested in starting a trading relationship.

I have a Dracaena that my mother wants to get rid of. I think it's called D.marginata. It's a healthy plant, she just doesn't like it. If you fold the leafs up for postage it's over 2' long. This will be a postage trade.

What I normally do, after I put it in the mail, is email you the amount of postage. If you are interested just D-mail me.

She really does have fantastic jewelry!!

northern, VA(Zone 6b)

I responded to your D-mail with a request that we correspond by regular e-mail. Did you get that? I am interested and would like to mail some bulbs to you ASAP and get the jewelery whenever we work it out.

Thomasboro, IL(Zone 5b)

I have updated all the current jewelry I have made.....

http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=9129478&albumId=2182962

The prices listed are retail, I simply ask you try to base your trades on the prices.. as some of the beads are expensive and some of the jewelry takes a long time to make...

If you are interested in a specific piece, please list by the Item # (example=L7)
If you would like me to make a custom piece, please refer to the ones seen on the link and tell me what kinds of beads, colors, clasps, lengths, etc you would like.

Please send all email to my PinkysPlants Account.. I check it daily.

Thanks again!!
