Anyone going to Fronderosa Frolic tomorrow (Saturday) in Gold Bar? I am going with my garden club and would love to meet up with anyone from DG who is going.

Fronderosa Frolic
Oh, I had read about this (did you mention it earlier, Gwen?). Wish I could go . . . Have fun and be sure to tell us about it when you get back.
I'm off. I'm going early. It actually is a 2-day thing, 10 - 3 each day. I'll probably be there from 10 - 12 today (Sat). If anyone else goes, my cell is 425.508.6587. I will report back and I'm taking my camera too.
Google fancy fronds and then follow their link to fronderosa frolic to read about this. I have heard great things about it and am looking forward to it.
Heidi, I'm surprised you don't go as a vendor.
Gwen
Hey Gwen, I must have missed you at the "Frolic". Got there right at 10:00 and left around 11:30 with way more plants than I should have gotten. Really a cool setup. Especially love the log cabin and setting. Finally found Romneya coulterii and a couple others I've been lusting after for some time. Traffic through Monroe was dire. It took 25 minutes to just get through town. Hope you had a good time. It is a bit far away, but a very good mix of venders.
We were there at the same time! Probably passed each other. I was the one with the BIG yellow wagon FULL of plants. LOL I got some very cool stuff.
I loved the cattle panels put together to form that little room. I took photos of that and will post them later. I would have liked to walk around and see the property and the river but ended up leaving probably close to when you did. I stopped at 3 antique stores on the way back and bought something for my kitchen and then an old picket fence section for the yard and a wooden painted corner cupboard, also to put out in the yard somewhere.
All in all a very good day. I have planted my two Phlox Miss Kelly so far. My favorite purchases of the day - they are gorgeous.
Yes, the drive back was awful! Then I had a terrible ferry line to deal with - got in line at 1:20 and was on the 2:30 ferry. Not as bad as yesterday - it was backed up farther than I'd ever been up the speedway before. Got in line and took me 3 boats to get on. I guess not too bad considering how far up the hill I was. I always have a book to read so it goes by fast but I always have to go to the bathroom cuz I usually stop and get a coke at McDonalds at the top of the speedway to drink while I wait in line. Okay, this is more than anyone wants to know so I will stop now.
Oh, my favorite plants today were the ones from the Pt Townsend nursery.
Gwen
Hi Gwen, I know I have thought of going but it is far for me and I have so many things to chose to bring. I hope folks come and find me. Kelly and sue do have some cool things. Tell us what you got and post some pictures. I have been having a summer market out here on Fridays with a couple of vegetable vendors and some arts and crafts folks and jewelry and lavender. We usually average 7 vendors and had as many as 13. Busy. But fun Heidi
Hi Heidi, Decided I can't wait until next year, I have to come back up to see you again. HostaJim came over to see all the "goodies" I brought back from Dragonfly.
So Fridays are a good day to come? I'll keep that in mind.
Have you been able to locate Schizophragma Moonlight? Katie
Hi there Katie, I will doulbe check on the moonlight I think I have it. I will get back to you. I still have your plant. Fridays are good. Thanks Heidi
So far, there will be three of us coming up on Friday the 22nd. See ya then!
Great can't wait. Looks like it will be warm but there always seems to hjave a breeze here. Heidi
