Beauties!! What on earth did you cross? My black sex-link, black giant cross Roos produced some similar chicks when crossed with barred rock or black sex-link. No tufting anywhere but we did get one white eared pullet. Any clues?

These are my CF chicks, they were born on July 8th I think. they were from ideal and they were in the surprise special they sent to me.

Pic#3 looks similar to that red/black laced beauty we lost to a hawk. Love that color combo.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

awesome, I do like his/her colors.

Isn't the tufting Araucana? I was looking up Legbar through a link somewhere and these almost look like a failed first attempt - all the right crosses without the stability of a true breed. Be fun to see how they turn out regardless. That multicolored leg is fascinating.

ummm. The big black and white in pic #2 is a bald eagle. Sure of it.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

Isnt it, its brown and black, kinda weird looking in a good way. I have a couple of them. i look at sites and after a while they all start looking alike. MY concern is the eggs, production and size and color. ones that do me good there get to be part of my farm.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

he he he yea it sure is. thats one of them crested birds. they love me, I will give most of them to my mom. they lay a small egg. we will see, they are my 1st birds this go around and they kinda have a place in my heart. I think I have about 60 to 75 of them.

l2g2 I say keep a couple of those White Crested Black Polish. Even tho sm to med white eggs, definitely have a lot of character & fun (hilarious) to watch! Sure wish I knew what the rest of these guys are? Love the patterns & colors. Do you know if they are all standard sizes? Bantums?

does this help?
1. buff laced polish pullet 2. that polish is also a pullet 3. partridge cochin roo

was thinking your first batch were standard sized cresteds and standard size assorted...

i have gotten some nice surprises in my first asstd batch. so many are so tiny! taken this long to feather out.

wish i could ID all of them for you... though #5 was a buff orp roo, then saw the feathering. thinking brahma on him, but feathers are too brown...

hugs

Yes TF the 1st batch are top hats. the 2nd batch was just surprise special, so could be anything, and then I got the bantams, and then pullets and keets. When they all get bigger I will separate them into different pens.

Thanks for the Id's so far.

OMG rotfl..... hilarious!
History in the making, once again.
I can see the trials now..... CF vs US You have been charged with .......

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

how about an Ad, with the head Roo CF rep in Uncle Sam attire, pointing his wing, saying "WE WANT *YOU*!... to keep chickens at your abode... do it for your country, do it for global warming, do it for your neighbors, do it for your fowl!"

Clarkson, KY

The red and white striped pants would probably do better on him..
